Rock Value identifies and appraises rocks from a photograph. This page says exactly what leaves your phone and what does not.
Every find you scan is stored on the device, in the app's own storage. We have no copy of your collection and no way to read it.
Asking for an appraisal sends that one photo to our server, which passes it to the vision model that reads it and returns an answer. We do not store the photo — our server holds it in memory for the length of the request and nothing is written to disk.
The model provider retains API inputs for a short period for abuse monitoring, then deletes them. We say so rather than claiming the photo vanishes the instant it is read, because that would not be true.
No account. No name, email address or phone number. No location — the app never asks for it and does not contain the code to read it. No contacts, no browsing history, no advertising identifier.
There is no advertising SDK, no attribution SDK, and no third party we share your data with for advertising or measurement.
Payment is handled by Apple. We never see your card details. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which tells our server only whether the device identifier above is currently entitled.
Rock Value is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
